This is Danielle, the nurse who set up and stayed with us during the infusion of Tim's stem cells. They call this your second birthday, because you get the same kind of baby stem cells you started with on your original birthday.
The next 2-3 weeks will see them growing into white, red, platelets, and all those other cells we have floating around in our bloodstreams. The journey between now and then could be challenging, but that's just part of the process.
So far, things have gone as well as can be expected. The doctor this morning told Tim he was making good progress. They seem to have the nausea controlled, and Tim is actually eating a little bit!
Again, thank you for your many prayers and words of concern. They have meant the world to us, and are a sign of God's presence during tough times.

Have a Blessed Easter and you all journey thru this part of the treatment and recovery. Our thoughts & prayers walk with you all.
